New Delhi, 6 October (IANS). American tech giant Meta has announced the launch of ‘Cable’ with the largest capacity of the largest capacity in the Asia-Pacific region in 2028.
The company said in a statement that the candle would extend to about 8,000 km, which will increase connectivity with Japan, Taiwan, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.
According to the company, the project will serve 58 crore people and provide a capacity of about 570 terabit (TBPS).
Meta has informed that the candle will use 24 fiber-payer technology to provide bandwidth as its greatest capacity cable ‘Anjana’.
The company said that the new cable will be developed in collaboration with the regional telecom partners.
The company gave information about the update of several existing projects, including the completion of the Bfrost Cable System.
The Asia-Pacific (APAC) region resides more than 58 percent of the world’s internet users, many of which depend on strong global infrastructure for access to innovative tech such as online connectivity and AI.
The company has informed about the recent progress in Bifrost, Eco and Applicott cables. Bfrost now connects Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines and the United States and is also expected to add Mexico to 2026. Bfrost will adopt a separate route from earlier transpecular cables to add more than 260 TBPS to add more than 260 TBPS to this popular digital route.
Eco now provides 260 TBPS capacity between Guam and California and further connectivity options are also available in Asia.
The Meta’s Applicot system length is 12,000 kilometers with future expansion in the Philippines, Indonesia and Singapore, which will complement a 290 TBPS capacity befrost and eco system.
Meanwhile, there are reports that Meta is hiring contractors at the US at a rate of $ 55 (about Rs 4850) per hour to develop the Hindi Language AI Chatbot for Indian users, especially Indian users.
