According to an article, India will have to make major progress in new and advanced technologies to increase its power (influence on other countries) at the diplomatic level. India should prepare its strategy by learning from the American model, especially in areas like rare earth processing, advanced medicines, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and affordable satellite launch services. This will enable India to create such strategic dependence, which it can use for its interests in international relations.
The article published in ‘India Narrative’ states that America’s hold in advanced technological sectors like defense and IT and its strong financial system have made it influential in global diplomacy. On the basis of this strength, America is able to conduct relations with other countries according to its interests.
This article written by Shrijit Phadke states that the reason for America’s success is that it has gained hold in areas where the world cannot function without it. India will also have to continuously innovate without compromising its values, make coordinated efforts towards shared goals and develop capabilities on which the world can depend.
