Armenia has announced a big facility for the people living in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The government has allowed residents of 113 countries to enter the country without a visa to promote tourism. UAE residents will greatly benefit from this new decision, as they will no longer have to go through the hassle of a visa to visit Armenia. This decision is a great relief for both tourists and business travelers.
For how long is this exemption valid and what are the rules?
According to information released by the Government of Armenia, this visa exemption has been implemented for a limited time. This rule has become effective from January 1, 2026 and will remain in force till July 1, 2026. During this period eligible residents may enter Armenia without a visa.
According to the rules, under this exemption, travelers can stay in Armenia for a maximum of 180 days within a year. The purpose of this trip could be tourism, meeting family members or business related work. The best thing is that no fee has been mentioned for this facility in the research, which means this process will be quite easy and economical for the passengers.
Who will get the benefits and necessary documents?
This facility is not only for UAE but for residents of total 113 countries. It also includes the US, European Union (EU) countries, the Schengen Area and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries such as Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Oman.
To avail this facility, passengers must have a valid Residence Permit of these countries. The condition is that when you enter Armenia, your residence permit must have at least 6 months of validity left. Armenia’s Tourism Committee calls it an open invitation to travelers from all over the world.
