Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday thanked Russian President Vladimir Putin for his birthday wishes. PM Modi reiterated India’s commitment to strengthen bilateral relations with Moscow, there was also talks between the two leaders about the ongoing war in Ukraine.
PM Modi said the post on X, “We are committed to further strengthening our special strategic partnership. India is ready to make every possible contribution to the peaceful solution of Ukraine struggle.” Earlier in the day, Russian President Putin congratulated PM Modi on his birthday and praised his personal efforts in strengthening bilateral relations.
In a statement released by Kremlin’s website, Putin said, “You are making a big personal contribution in strengthening special strategic partnership among our countries and developing mutually beneficial Russian-Indian cooperation in various fields.” Putin said that PM Modi has emerged highly honor and excessive rights on the world stage through his works as the head of the government.
He said that under the leadership of Modi, India has also achieved impressive achievements in social, economic, science and technical fields. The two leaders met last month at the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Sangathan (SCO) in Tianjin city of China, where Trump was discussed on dealing with the tariff.
Many leaders of the world, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni, congratulated PM Modi on his 75th birthday. A day earlier, US President Donald Trump called PM Modi and congratulated him on his birthday, which hoped to improve bilateral relations.
