Tension in West Asia has once again reached its peak as Iran’s military has carried out major drone attacks on US military bases located in Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Dangerous Arsh-2 drones have been used in these attacks, which have caused huge damage to Kuwait’s power houses. Taking a tough stance on this situation, US President Donald Trump has given Iran a final ultimatum to negotiate or face consequences.
What damage was caused by the attacks in Kuwait and UAE?
Iran’s military launched attacks targeting radar systems and US command headquarters in Kuwait and the UAE on April 4, 2026. Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity and Water has informed that due to these drone attacks, two power generation units have been closed, which has affected the power supply. The UAE Defense Ministry has confirmed that their air defense system has shot down several missiles and drones in the air. Iran says it has specifically targeted military infrastructure near radar and the aluminum industry.
Trump’s ultimatum and Iran’s direct warning
President Donald Trump has given Iran 48 hours to either reach an agreement or be prepared to face serious consequences. He claimed on social media that America has targeted Iranian military leaders by taking major action in Tehran. On the other hand, Iran’s General Ali Abdullahi has warned that if America or Israel attacks Iran, then continuous and destructive attacks will be carried out on American bases throughout West Asia. This tension is directly impacting the migrants living in Gulf countries and the basic facilities there.
