Saudi Arabia’s Defense Ministry has given important information regarding security. The ballistic missiles fired targeting Prince Sultan Air Base were destroyed in the air by Saudi Air Defense. Officials said the attack was carried out between Friday and Saturday. It is a matter of relief that there has been no loss of life or property in this incident and the situation is under control.
What information has come to light regarding the attack?
Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Turki al-Maliki said that on Friday morning three ballistic missiles were coming towards the airbase, which were tracked and destroyed by the defense system. After this, on Saturday also another missile was stopped coming towards the same airbase. The attack was carried out on the Prince Sultan Air Base in Al-Kharj, where US troops and other foreign personnel are also stationed.
Is there any danger to the people living there?
The Saudi administration has clarified that all the missiles were destroyed before they reached their targets. No one was injured due to falling missile fragments. Everyone working there is completely safe. Apart from this, some drones have also been stopped near Shaybah oil field. The administration has made strict security arrangements for Indians and other expatriates living in Gulf countries so that oil exports and normal life are not affected.
