New Delhi, January 17 (IANS). The government is going to organize a big aviation event named ‘Wings India 2026’ at Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad from January 28 to 31. This will be Asia’s largest civil aviation event, showcasing the future of the aviation sector around the world.
The Civil Aviation Ministry said in a statement on Saturday that the event will begin with a grand inauguration ceremony, which will be attended by Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu as the chief guest. Many big and respected guests from India and abroad will also be present on this occasion.
Ministerial level representatives from many countries, senior government officials and official delegations from more than 20 countries will participate in the four-day long event. This will strengthen cooperation and partnership in the aviation sector between different countries.
According to the ministry, ‘Wings India 2026’ will showcase India’s rapidly growing aviation sector, its global identity and India’s future plans in aircraft manufacturing, services, new technology and environment-friendly aviation solutions.
A big international exhibition will be organized in this program. Apart from this, permanent exhibition of aircraft, flight demonstrations, aerobatics, international conferences, CEO roundtable meetings, business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) meetings, aviation job fair, award ceremonies and cultural programs will also be organised.
Many big aviation companies and institutions from India and abroad will participate in this event. These will include airlines, aircraft and engine manufacturing companies, maintenance companies, airport developers, technology companies, training institutes and other service providers.
The event will be a platform for policy makers, industry leaders, innovators and investors to discuss new trends, opportunities and avenues of collaboration in the future of aviation. The international conference will feature sessions on 13 different topics, as well as a Global CEO Forum and Ministerial Meeting.
A spectacular exhibition of aircraft, flight shows and aerobatics will also be seen in the program. Among these, the aerial display by the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team of the Indian Air Force will be a special attraction. Besides, different platforms will also be provided for exhibitions, business meetings and investment related discussions.
