New Delhi, May 8 (IANS). Today’s fast-paced life is having a negative impact on both physical and mental health. In such a situation, problems like stress, anger over every issue, restlessness, nervousness, disappointment, sadness, despair, fatigue, lack of interest and insomnia or loss of appetite have become common. In such a situation, health experts advise to overcome depression with small positive habits.

According to the National Health Mission, ‘7B’ formula is a group of these habits, which proves to be very effective in fighting depression and improving mental health. These seven easy habits can be included in anyone’s daily routine. Adopting these regularly improves mood, reduces stress and brings positivity in life.

These small changes gradually give big results. However, if mental problems are increasing day by day, then definitely consult a doctor or mental health expert. Adopting these habits along with medicine and therapy can provide quick relief.

Build a Daily Routine: Waking up, eating, working, and sleeping at regular times creates a structured routine. This brings stability in life and reduces symptoms of depression.

Breathe in fresh air: Take a walk outside every morning and evening. Fresh air and natural light improve mood and increase endorphins, the hormone of happiness.

Balance diet with healthy options (Balance diet): Eat nutritious food like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts and drink plenty of water. Avoid junk food and excess sugar, as they affect mood.

Be creative in thoughts and actions (Be Creative): Take up painting, writing, music, gardening or a new hobby. Creativity keeps the mind busy and reduces negative thoughts.

Bend and balance the body with yoga: Do yoga asanas daily. Yoga makes the body flexible, reduces stress and keeps the mind calm. This also gives good sleep.

Get at least 8 hours of sleep (bed time): Good sleep is very important for mental health. Sleep early at night and wake up early in the morning. Reduce screen time so that sleep is not affected.

Believe in positive thinking: Think of some good things every day, write gratitude notes or talk to positive people or share your thoughts with them. Challenge negative thoughts and think good and positive about yourself.

Father seeks information from police about traffic challans of future son-in-law before daughter's marriage Rayadupalem: A father in Andhra Pradesh's Kakinada district sought information from police about traffic challans against vehicles of his future son-in-law before his daughter's marriage to ascertain his sense of responsibility and driving skills. An official gave this information on Thursday. The police officer described this act as rare and deliberate, saying that the man found it more accurate to assess the character of his future son-in-law based on his behavior on the road, rather than gathering information in the traditional manner. "The man wanted to know whether his future son-in-law was involved in rash driving, drunken driving or repeatedly violating traffic rules. We appreciated his sense of responsibility," the officer said. According to the police, the man had lost his wife several years ago and raised his daughter single-handedly. He said that this father, after facing many difficulties, educated his daughter and made her an engineer. Having recently found a suitable match for his daughter, the father on Tuesday approached the Rayadupalem traffic police with the registration numbers of a car and a two-wheeler belonging to the future son-in-law. Police said that the man believed that a person's behavior while driving often reflects discipline, patience and a sense of social responsibility, so he inquired about the old challans before giving permission for the marriage. After investigation, police did not find any pending challans or serious traffic violations related to the vehicles. The officer said he was pleasantly surprised by the unusual request and appreciated the man's responsible and practical approach in finding a husband for his daughter.
