Jodhpur. The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with immense enthusiasm, discipline and patriotism on Monday in Jodhpur, the land of bravery and culture. In the district level main function organized at Umaid Government Stadium, the chief guest, Parliamentary Affairs, Law and Justice Minister Jogaram Patel, hoisted the flag and inspected the parade and took the salute of the march past. Republic: Festival of 140 crore resolutions In his address, Minister Jogaram Patel said that Republic Day is not just a festival, but a festival of resolutions of 140 crore Indians. Paying tribute to Dr. Ambedkar, Sardar Patel and the great freedom fighters, he said that Rajasthan is playing a leading role with service and good governance under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma in realizing the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Developed India-2047’.
Marchpast and Band Competition Winners
Various contingents performed a spectacular march past at the ceremony, which displayed a unique blend of discipline:
Marchpast: RAC (1) Mandore Road stood first, Police Commissionerate (Men) stood second and NCC Women Contingent stood third.
Band: In the band competition, Rajmata Krishnakumari Girls Public School stood first, while RAC (1st) stood second.
Dominance of ‘Ji Ramji Yojana’ in tableauxAt the ceremony, attractive tableaux of various government departments were brought out, in which public welfare and technology were showcased:
First place: Tableau based on ‘Vikas Bharat-ji Ramji Yojana’ of Zilla Parishad.
2nd place: ‘Learning from safety, transformation from technology’ theme of Traffic Police.
Third place: Tableau based on cleanliness and development works of Municipal Corporation Jodhpur.
Respect for talents and cultural color
39 talents who provided excellent services in various fields were honored by the Chief Guest with certificates of appreciation. To commemorate the completion of 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram’, there was a collective singing of the national anthem, which drenched the entire stadium with the sound of patriotism. Group exercises and cultural programs presented by school children enthralled the audience.

Many senior officers and public representatives including Rajya Sabha MP Rajendra Gehlot, Rajasthan Animal Welfare Board Chairman Jaswant Singh Vishnoi, City MLA Atul Bhansali, Sursagar MLA Devendra Joshi, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Pratibha Singh, District Collector Gaurav Aggarwal and Police Commissioner Omprakash were present at the ceremony.
