Passengers coming from UAE to Delhi from 1 October will be able to fill information about their arrival information online before the journey, because a new e-military card system has been introduced for it. Every day thousands of migrant work, family meeting or tourism come to India from Gulf countries. This initiative will reduce the time taken on immigration and the arrival process will become much easier and faster.
Know how this system will work
The e-military card will give a safe online platform instead of paper form. Passengers can fill their information until three days before the flight. These options are available for this:
Bureau of immigration portal (boi.gov.in)
Indian Visa website (indianvisaonline.gov.in)
‘Su-welcome’ mobile app
Delhi Airport Website (Newdelhiairport.in)
On arrival, the processing of passengers will be faster because now there will be no need for manual form-filling and paperwork.
Relief in peak travel season
The UAE-India route is one of the most busy routes in the world, especially during school holidays, Eid and festive weather. At a time when long queues are found at Delhi Airport, this new e-Arival card will prove to be extremely useful for passengers.
Global standards
This facility is already available at large airports like Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea and Malaysia. Now with its introduction in Delhi, India’s busiest airport has also become in line with international best practice.
What for Indian citizen and OCI?
This new e-military card will apply only to foreign nationals. Fast track (FTI-TTP) has already been launched in June 2024 for Indian citizens and overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders.
