Patna, October 17 (IANS). Regarding the meeting between Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, senior Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel has tauntedly asked whether Nitish Babu is angry and whether Amit Shah has come to persuade.
While posting on social media platform X, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar wrote that he had a courtesy meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Regarding this meeting, senior Congress leader, while referring to a statement of Amit Shah, said that NDA is not contesting the elections under the leadership of Nitish Kumar and a conspiracy is being hatched to sideline JDU leaders. Baghel alleged that NDA wants to ‘play’ in Bihar on the lines of Maharashtra, but the people of Bihar will not let it succeed because ‘the truth of vote theft’ has come to light.
Regarding seat sharing in the Grand Alliance, he said that everything has been decided. Seats have been distributed and the nomination process is going on. But JDU, which was the biggest party in Bihar, has been given equal number of seats as BJP.
On the question asked about the chief ministerial face of the grand alliance, he retorted and said that first the NDA should tell who is their chief ministerial face. The parties involved in the grand alliance will together decide who will be our face.
He said that Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is contesting the elections under the leadership of Tejashwi Yadav and Congress under the guidance of Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge.
Let us tell you that during a program, Amit Shah, while referring to the Bihar Assembly elections and the leadership of Nitish Kumar, had said that we are contesting the elections under the leadership of Nitish Kumar and Nitish Kumar is leading our elections. Nitish Kumar is a typical socialist leader. He said that the fight between Nitish Kumar and NDA is a fight against Lalu’s ‘Jungle Raj’ of that time and even today our struggle is against the ideology of ‘Jungle Raj’.
