Lalu Yadav Family Controversy: In the politics of Bihar these days, the most discussed Lalu family’s ‘internal war’ is being done. The opposition has also started redeeming this battle of siblings. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a direct and scathing attack on Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav. BJP leader Amit Malviya has alleged that Tejashwi has been accused of not only the ‘throat’ of his brother’s political career, but has also forced his father Lalu Prasad Yadav to remain silent by putting him in the ‘prison’. This allegation has started just before the Bihar assembly elections, causing a stir in the political corridors.
‘RJD’s remote in Sanjay Yadav’s hand’
Amit Malviya, through a post on his social media platform ‘X’, mentioned the ongoing tussle in the Lalu family. He wrote, “Tejashwi Yadav has a weak vein, which Sanjay Yadav has kept suppressed! Tejashwi is strangling his own entire family under the pressure of Sanjay.” He further said that “Now the child has started saying- RJD’s remote is in Sanjay Yadav’s hand.” These allegations of Malaviya have also questioned the role of Sanjay Yadav, who is considered to be the advisor and strategist of Tejashwi within the party.

Rohini Acharya’s ‘Digital Rebellion’
The entire controversy began when Lalu Yadav’s daughter and Tejashwi’s sister Rohini Acharya ‘unfollowed’ all the family members from her social media platform. This step was considered the biggest sign of not getting well in the Lalu family. Earlier, during Tejashwi’s visit, Rohini shared a picture of Sanjay Yadav sitting on the front seat of the bus and attacked him. After this comment, individual attacks on Rohini Acharya started on social media. He was accused of commenting on Sanjay Yadav due to political ambition. In response, Rohini shared an emotional video, in which he reminded his father Lalu Yadav of his sacrifice of donating kidney. He also wrote that he has no political ambition, but there is nothing more than self -respect for him.
‘Sudarshan Chakra’ threatened: Tej Pratap supports sister
In this entire episode, Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of the Lalu family and former minister, was openly seen standing in favor of his sister Rohini. He justified Rohini’s social media post and warned to run ‘Sudarshan Chakra’ on the insult of the sister. Tej Pratap’s statement clearly shows that this is not just a fight between Rohini and Tejashwi, but the whole family is involved in this tussle. The BJP is seeing this family discord as a big political opportunity. After Keshav Prasad Maurya, Amit Malviya’s attack shows that the BJP is going to make this ‘family crisis’ of RJD a big issue in the Bihar assembly elections.
