NDA Sankalp Patra Bihar: The battle for Bihar Assembly elections 2025 has now completely heated up. On Friday, a big press conference (PC) was called at Hotel Maurya in Patna to release the NDA’s joint ‘Sankalp Patra 2025’, but what happened after this press conference has created a new storm in the political circles. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, BJP President JP Nadda, Union Minister Chirag Paswan and all the top leaders of the alliance including Jitan Ram Manjhi, Upendra Kushwaha came on the stage, but within a few minutes they left without any address. This ‘silent’ launching has given a big opportunity to the opposition parties to attack the NDA.
Silent veteran: Release of resolution letter in just 26 seconds
All the big faces of NDA came together in the press conference which started at exactly 10 am in the morning in Patna. The leaders jointly issued a manifesto, took photographs and walked out within minutes. No big leader held the mike in front of the public or to answer the questions of the media. Later, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary had to come alone before the media and presented the election promises of the alliance in detail to the public. The political temperature immediately became high due to this incident. The opposition has raised sharp questions on this silence and haste, which are directly targeting the unity and confidence of the NDA.
The opposition’s sensational allegation: “A threat to democracy!”
Congress has called it ‘dangerous for democracy’ when the veterans left the NDA press conference without speaking. Ashok Gehlot, a senior Congress observer in Bihar elections, directly alleged in Patna that the NDA “released its manifesto in just 26 seconds.” He said that NDA leaders were scared of media questions and ran away. Gehlot raised the question whether the NDA itself is not confident about its promises, which is why its senior leaders did not consider it necessary to say anything in the press conference? This allegation has become a big challenge for the NDA, which the opposition parties are now preparing to make a big issue among the people of Bihar.
NDA gave clarification: “Haste due to election busyness”
Following opposition attacks, Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) chief Upendra Kushwaha clarified the haste. Talking to the media, he said that all the leaders together have issued a resolution letter, which shows the unity of the alliance. He cited election busyness as the reason for leaving. Kushwaha said, “All the leaders had to leave immediately for campaigning at different places. If they had taken an hour for the press conference, it would have had a negative impact on the campaign.” Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary also supported this. He said, “Chief Minister Nitish Kumar ji came, he released the manifesto of NDA. I am his ally and am carrying forward his vision.” He said that he addressed the press conference later only to convey Nitish ji’s vision to the public.
PC started late, already had ‘no-address’ plan?
Another interesting information has come to light in this entire incident. The NDA press conference started at 10 am, about half an hour late from the scheduled time (9.30 am). Quoting sources, it has also been revealed that it was already decided that no big leader in PC would give the address, only Samrat Chaudhary would present the main points of the resolution letter in front of the media. However, the opposition parties are not accepting this argument and have started calling it a sign of seat sharing or internal tension.
