The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has expressed deep condolences on the death of hundreds of people in the fierce earthquake in eastern Afghanistan and the sad incident of more than a thousand people.
The UAE Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying that it stands with Afghanistan and its friendly citizens in this tragedy. The Ministry expressed its deep condolences to the victim’s families and wished the peace of the soul of the dead and the early health benefits of the injured.
According to the information, this 6 -magnitude earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km late in the mountainous region bordering the Pakistan border, causing heavy havoc in the eastern areas of Kabul. So far, 622 people have been killed and more than a thousand injuries have been confirmed.
The Afghan Ministry of Defense said that the army teams have been deployed in the affected provinces Kunar and Nangarhar for relief and rescue operations. So far, 420 injured and dead have been taken to safe places through 40 army flights and rescue operations are on.
