Uttrakhand On the twenty-fifth anniversary of the formation of Uttarakhand state, the Matri Shakti Silver Utsav program ‘Janani Bhi Janneta Bhi’ was organized by the Women Empowerment and Child Development Department, Uttarakhand on Saturday in Nainital district. Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya participated in the program as the chief guest. On the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for women led development, this program of the state government started with the slogan ‘Amritkal ki Nari Shakti Janani Bhi Janneta Bhi’. As the first presentation, a dance drama on the twenty-five year development journey of women in the state was presented by Natraj Dance Academy of Almora district.
Thereafter, a technical discussion was organized on the work and development journey done by various departments in the state and the state government in the last twenty-five years. In this session, former Director General of the Medical Department, Dr. Shailja Bhatt, Dr. Rita Raghuvanshi from Pantnagar University on the topic of nutrition, Dr. Beena Phulara to discuss the field of science and technology, Lalit Miglani to discuss the women’s law, Dr. Deepa Joshi to discuss the field of art and culture and Chandra Fartyal on the topic of women’s self-reliance participated. After which the women who have achieved a position in various fields as Swayamsiddha of Amritkal were honored by the Minister. Among these, Khashti Koranga from Bageshwar was honored in the field of agriculture, Tara Dev in the field of social media, Meenu Joshi as a strong housewife, Nisha Negi as the beneficiary of horizontal reservation and Bhargavi Rawat was honored as Swayamsiddha of Amritkal for her innovative contribution in the field of sports. On this occasion, a ramp walk was also conducted by the students of Women’s College, Haldwani on the theme of meeting of tradition and modernity.
In his address, the Cabinet Minister said that the Prime Minister of the country has given the most important position to women for the year 2047 and it is the responsibility of all of us women to fulfill it and reach the developed indices on the hundredth anniversary of the country’s independence. On this occasion, while paying respect to every woman who brings glory to the state and makes an important contribution in the formation of the state, he called for working on the strategy of Vision 2047.
On this occasion, public representatives, District Panchayat President Nainital, Block Chief Okhal Kanda, Block Chief Bhimtal, Cooperative Milk Union President and District Magistrate Lalit Mohan Rayal also participated. Director Banshi Lal Rana, Deputy Director Vikram Singh, State Project Officer Mohit Chaudhary, District Program Officer Nainital Anulekh Bisht, District Program Officer Udham Singh Nagar Mukul Chaudhary etc. were present from the Women Empowerment and Child Development Department.
