Bhopal, June 10 (IANS). Protests by Congress are continuing after the nomination papers of Congress candidate Meenakshi Natarajan were rejected in the Rajya Sabha elections of Madhya Pradesh. Party state president Jitu Patwari has announced that Congress MLAs will go to Rashtrapati Bhavan to present their views.
Congress on Wednesday organized a fast at Roshanpura intersection in the capital in protest against the rejection of nomination papers of Rajya Sabha candidate Meenakshi Natarajan. On this occasion, all the big leaders of Congress along with MLAs and officials were also present.
Congress state president Jitu Patwari has announced that on Friday all 62 Congress MLAs will go to Delhi and plead before the President that we represent not just one MLA but two and a half to three lakh votes. We will seek justice from the President for the misuse of the voting rights of the MLAs.
He attacked the situation in the state and said that Congress is going to launch a big movement in the coming time because at present Madhya Pradesh has become the center of corruption, cancer has penetrated into its roots. The mastermind of this corruption is none other than the Chief Minister of the state.
He further said that vote theft in the state is affecting the homes of common people, hence the people of the state should take part in it and bring the reality to the fore among the public.
