Uttarakhand News: Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the 120th annual session of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in New Delhi today. Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, while welcoming the entrepreneurs and representatives of various industrial institutions present in the program, said that the role that PHD Chamber has played in the country’s economic progress, industrial development and strengthening the spirit of entrepreneurship in the last 120 years is incomparable.
The Chief Minister said that today we have gathered in this important session for meaningful discussions on the topic “India’s emerging role as a reliable global partner” and the contribution of the state of Uttarakhand in it. We all know that industries play a very important role in the economic progress of any country. Industries not only generate employment opportunities but also play an important role in improving the standard of living of every section of the society.
The Chief Minister said that when the industrialists, entrepreneurs and policy makers of the country come together to think and brainstorm on the upliftment of the nation, its impact is not limited to the industry only, but also paves the way for the welfare of every section of the society and the overall development of the nation. This conclave is not just an industry conference, but a powerful platform that opens doors to new possibilities of India’s economic power, cultural consciousness and global leadership. Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the policy of “Reform, Perform and Transform” has given a new direction to India. Today, not only has a favorable environment for investment been created in India, but there has also been massive change in areas like infrastructure, education, health, women empowerment and social justice. Respected Modi ji is the first Prime Minister of the country who took a pledge to make India a developed nation and work is being done in a planned manner to realize this resolution.
The Chief Minister said that today the country is moving at a fast pace towards becoming self-reliant through initiatives like ‘Startup India’, ‘Vocal for Local’, ‘Make in India’, ‘Skill India’ and ‘Digital India’. Not only this, today India has become the third largest startup ecosystem in the world. Today our startups are making their mark in global innovation, Digital India has brought technology to the common citizen and the Self-reliant India campaign has paved the way for making the country a hub of production and manufacturing. Today, big countries of the world are surprised to see that even a woman running a small vegetable shop in India is doing mobile payment transactions through UPI. Today, more than 55 crore people of the country have joined the banking system. Be it agricultural production, defence, medicine, energy, or science and technology or space research, India is becoming self-reliant in every field and establishing new dimensions of development and prosperity. Used to be.

The countries which earlier used to see India only as a big consumer market, today the same countries have started seeing India’s technology and innovation potential as a challenge. Because India is no longer just a country importing goods, but is becoming the world’s leading partner in exports, manufacturing and technological development. Fearing our growing power, some countries are also making unsuccessful attempts to stop our progress. But the determination, capability and innovation of India’s industry has proved that no power can become an obstacle in the path of our development. British Prime Minister Mr. Keir Starmer, who is on a two-day visit to India, has also acknowledged the fact that “India will emerge as the world’s third largest economy by 2028 and today India has become the most reliable and safe destination for global investment.”

Apart from this, while we are setting up a world-class U-Hub at a cost of Rs 60 crore to provide incubation facilities to startups, a venture fund of Rs 200 crore has also been set up to provide them easy access to funds. Not only this, for investment promotion in the state, an investment promotion agency named UK-SPICE is being established and the facility of dedicated “Invest Mitra” is being provided to the investors.

Have been. Not only this, we are also working towards developing a smart industrial township on more than thousand acres of land in Kichha Farm. Apart from this, we are also developing “Rent Based Accommodation” facility to provide convenient accommodation to the people working in the industrial sector. Today our initiative “House of Himalayas Brand” is proving to be effective in bringing all the organic products of the state under one umbrella. Under this, work is being done to give world class recognition to various products of the state by GI tagging. The products made by women self-help groups of the state are gaining global recognition.
